ART OF STAINED GLASS HOW TO SOLDER STAINED GLASS Fill in the gaps with melted solder, and "burnish," meaning to cover all the visible foil with a thin coat of solder. Worry about appearance in the next step.  To view a video of the gap-filling and burnishing step:
Bead Lead Lines Next, make your lead lines look nice and neat. Apply a generous amount of solder to the lead lines. If the lead line does not appear smoothly beaded, touch the uneven area with the tip of the soldering iron to re-melt it.  To view a video of beading: |
